Testimonials
“Our organization has been working with Sunflower for several years now, and they have been instrumental in helping us grow our foundation to fund downtown improvement projects outside of our annual budget. Katie and her staff find creative grants opportunities and deliver us well developed and executed applications. Additionally, they are always available to help with project management and reporting. We highly recommend their services to both small and large foundations as a wonderful local resource.”

“Katie LeDoux at Sunflower Nonprofit Solutions was instrumental in finding and gaining for me a state government grant. We are acquainted through my business (she is a customer). Even before the grant became available, she was always concerning herself with how my business was holding up during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. When the grant for small businesses was announced, she reached out to tell me she thought it would be a good fit for me. We agreed to apply, and she took off running. I literally did nothing but provide information. She gave me frequent updates as she waded through the complicated and cumbersome government bureaucracy. She didn’t give up, and when I received notification that I would receive grant money, I think she was as excited as I was. For the same reasons that I’d recommend hiring a tax preparer, an attorney or a real estate agent, I highly recommend Katie for grant writing and funds acquisition. If it’s not your profession, hire someone. And if you’re going to hire someone, get someone who is really good. Katie LeDoux at Sunflower Nonprofit Solutions fits that bill.”

“Being a small foundation, Katie worked with us on our limited budget and provided a comprehensive payment plan to cover our fees. Once again thank you Katie. We appreciate your support to our Foundation in helping us fund the resources that we need to help those in need!”

“I started my non-profit a few years back and struggled to understand the grant writing portion of running a nonprofit. On several occasions I have inquired about a grant writer but to no avail. This past summer of 2020, I sent out an email through NAM (Nonprofit Association of the Midlands) looking for a grant writer and I was blessed with meeting Katie. Not only did Katie research the grants but she did the necessary leg work to make sure the grants we were applying for fit our organization. Katie is incredibly good at answering questions and her response time to emails and phone calls are remarkable. Katie solidified multiple grants for this organization in less than six months. I am incredibly pleased and blessed to have her working side by side with us. I am so excited to see what the future holds. I would recommend Katie and sunflower administrative solutions to anyone looking for grant work. Thank you, Katie!”

“At Iowa Western Community College, we continue to explore new funding sources to support programs and initiatives that enhance the student experience and our broader community impact. Our ongoing efforts aim to create educational pathways that respond to regional workforce needs while providing comprehensive student support services. Looking ahead, we’re excited about potential partnerships that will strengthen connections between campus and community, creating valuable learning opportunities that benefit our students while addressing local challenges. These efforts reflect our dual commitment to student success and community vitality, reinforcing our role as an educational anchor institution in Southwest Iowa.”
Sunflower has helped IWCC secure two grants. The first for $500,000 from Brownfields Job Training Grant. The second was the CDL Infrastructure Grant from Iowa Workforce Development for $214,500. We are beyond excited for what these grants will do for the college’s current programs, as well as future plans for the college. IWCC is making a lasting impact on the students it serves and we are a proud partner.
Iowa Western’s partnership with Sunflower Grant Writers has yielded remarkable success, securing two major grants: the CDL Infrastructure Grant from Iowa Workforce Development and the Brownfields Job Training Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. Both applications were successful, a testament to SGW’s expertise and dedication. Throughout the grant development process, Katie LeDoux’s team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, maintaining clear communication, and leveraging their deep knowledge of the grant landscape. Their collaborative approach made the complex process feel seamless, and their commitment to our success was evident at every step. Working with SGW has not only secured vital funding but has also set a new standard for what we expect from a grant writing partner.”

I really appreciated working with the Sunflower team on the development of our grant proposal. We had a vision for an upcoming grant award, but lacked the time and grant writing experience to confidently move forward with a proposal. We really didn’t know where to get started until we met with Sunflower. From our initial meeting, we had a timeline and an action plan to meet the grant deadline. Chase at Sunflower did a great job working with us weekly to move our vision into an action grant proposal for submission.

I wanted to thank you and your team for the incredible work that resulted in an incredible opportunity for Stephen Center and our clients. We would not have secured this funding if not for Sunflower, and knowing that there will be times where we could use some additional help, we will be sure to continue our partnership with you as those needs arise.
